FAQ's

Q: What is a payment profile?

A: This is the pattern of the rentals payable.  For instance, 3 + 35 is a 3 year contract where the equivalent of three monthly rentals are paid at the start of the contract followed by 35 monthly rentals, the contract finalises at the end of month 36.  1 + 23 is a 2 year contract, with a Deposit followed by 23 monthly payments.

Q: Can you quote any annual mileage?

A: Yes, simply contact us and we will calculate the rental for the mileage you want on any vehicle.

Q: What if I exceed the annual mileage quoted in the contract?

A: You will have to pay an excess mileage charge.  Typcially this will be 5 to 7 pence per mile (ppm).  If you have a contract mileage of 15,000 mpa on a three year contract, total 45,000 miles, 6 ppm and the car is returned with 46,000 miles you will be charged 1,000 miles at 6 ppm, total £60.

Q: Can I terminate the contract early if I want to?

A: Yes.  You may terminate the contract at any time before the due date but this may incur penalties.  We would endeavour to keep any costs to a minimum.  The industry norm is 50% of outstanding rentals.  This is a guideline only.

Q: Can I swap the vehicle I'm currently hiring for any other, mid-term?

A: Yes.  We can organise this for you, however the original contract must be terminated and therefore charges may apply.

Q: Can I buy the vehicle at the end of the contract?

A: Yes.  There are no restrictions for personal contract hire and leasing, but business users would need to buy the vehicle through a third party, at the current market value.

Q: Where do I take the contracted vehicle for servicing?

A: You use a nominated garage local to you.  Vehicles on lease and contract hire must be serviced by a dealer for the specific make of car on contract hire or personal lease.

Q: Is service included in the contract?

A: We can quote for maintained or non-maintained deals, the choice is yours?

Q: What happens if the vehicle breaks down?

A: If the vehicle is covered by a non-maintenance contract, breakdowns are normally covered under the manufacturers warranty, but on a maintenance contract the vehicle would be supplied with full roadside assistance.  A drivers pack is provided with every vehicle on lease contract which explains fully how to treat every type of vehicle breakdown.
